New Book - A big 'Thank You' for NHS staff

This is not a book I ever imagined (or want to have to) produce but I decided I had to pull my finger out and deliver this work to coincide with the first anniversary of the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK.

It contains over 50 documentary style images that were mainly taken in Cumbria and reflect the times and places I passed through whilst going about my daily life from the first lockdown and beyond.Despite primarily being a landscape photographer, I have done documentary style work in the past and knew this would be the best approach to recording my experiences.

Even though people’s hardships were clear, a sense of public spirit was palpable as I observed others go about their lives. Most humbling though was an awareness of the huge number of people in our communities making heroic efforts to keep us safe & healthy.

It was this that encouraged me to bring the images together in a book to say thank you to those people in the NHS who have worked tirelessly to help look after us and to raise money for ‘NHS Charities together’.

All profits from the book will be donated to the charity.

If you would like to support this effort, the book can be ordered on my site here:

All the best, Rod
