Hi everyone, we’re very nearly back and ready to get togging again!
Firstly, if you are a customer whose photography day had to be deferred or cancelled, please accept our sincere apologies. Our number one priority has and will always be that our clients are safe which has meant we haven’t run ANY photography days since March but we hope you’ll appreciate the position we took.
Beginning to open back up
From the 4th July we will be able to run photography days again for you. Like countless other businesses, we’ve been waiting desperately for sufficient information to help us understand when we can get going again. After the government announcement yesterday (23.06.20), we finally have sufficient clarity to proceed as well as knowing that other services that impact on the running of our photography courses (refreshment venues such as cafes, car parking, toilet facilities and accommodation for guests who are staying over) will largely be able to open from this date too.
Additional measures we need to have in place
We’ve completed a thorough risk assessment and we need to stress that things aren’t back to ‘normal’ just yet. There are some things we need to have in place to ensure we’re Covid-19 compliant and to provide protection to you, us and others.
1 to 1 days
Normally, we might travel to three, four or even five separate photography locations (dependant on what the client is looking to achieve). For the time being, we will need to restrict the amount of travel undertaken and number of venues visited. We will use one or two locations maximum, but these will have sufficient interest within a reasonable walking distance to make the most of your day.
Normally we provide all transportation for clients on a 1 to 1 day after the time that we meet. As well as being more convenient for guests, it also reduces the environmental impact by only having one vehicle travelling around. For the time being, we are open to you using your own transport to travel between venues if you wish to do so as this can offer you additional peace of mind.
If you are travelling in our transport, we will ask you to wear face protection whilst in the vehicle to reduce the risk of virus transmission. We will of course wear face protection ourselves whilst in the vehicle.
We will ask you to sanitise your hands frequently throughout the day (as will we) and hand sanitiser will be provided for this purpose.
If you become aware of ANY Covid-19 symptoms in the run up to your day or anybody that you have been in close contact with has any symptoms you MUST inform us beforehand. In this event, your day will have to be postponed but we will work with you to rearrange a suitable alternative date once you are clear of symptoms at no extra charge.
Group courses (Beginner & Intermediate)
The maximum number of participants on group days will be reduced from 5 to 3 for the time being to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
Normally, we might travel to several separate photography locations on group days. For the time being, we will need to restrict the amount of travel undertaken and number of venues visited. We will use one or two locations maximum, but these will have sufficient interest within a reasonable walking distance to make the most of your day.

Group learning often requires close proximity between the tutor and clients (especially when helping with camera controls, review images etc). Where in close proximity with the tutor or other group members we will ask you to wear face protection to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
Rearranged dates
You already had a date arranged after 4th July 2020 - If you originally had a date scheduled after the 4th July 2020, we will keep to that date as previously arranged. If this proves difficult for you, please let us know and we will work with you to find a new date.
You don’t have a date arranged yet (Gift voucher clients) - For clients who have not got a fixed date arranged (especially those who have received a gift voucher) please contact us as soon as possible and we will get a date arranged for you. Lots of slots have been freed up from our diary and we have quite a bit of flexibility over the next month or two if you are looking to get out with your camera as soon as possible!
You were/are booked onto a Group workshop – We’ve kept some scheduled dates and have added some rearranged dates into the diary as follows:
Beginners: Sun 26th July 2020, Mon 31st August (bank holiday), Mon 14th September 2020
Intermediate: Sat 25th July 2020, Sat 5th September 2020
Let us know whether you can make one of the dates above. If not, we will work with you to get something arranged. Additional dates may be added subject to levels of demand and/or existing clients are not able to make one of the now scheduled dates.
To both old and new customers alike, we're really looking forward to getting out there with you and sharing our passion for photography with you - see you soon, Rod and Pauline
